Brahma Muhurta: The Creators Time

by Arpit

"Who gets up early to discover the moment light begins? - Rumi"

Three years ago, I started to wake up early in the morning. I was unaware of the powers of waking up early. I had seen many people going for a morning walk in my area. But I was never a morning person until then. I was exploring myself in my college days. One day, I made a plan and decided to wake up early, at 4 am. I was not regular, but I never gave up. Every day I endeavoured to make it a habit.

From an early age, you have learnt the importance of goal setting. Your teachers might have emphasized the need to set weekly, monthly and yearly goals. You might have also made a schedule with specific goals written. You can share your experience in the comment box.

I was amazed by the impact it created in my life. Slowly I was feeling the infinite energy flowing all around my body. Why was I feeling all these changes around me?

I used to do meditation in my college days, but it was not regular. In lockdown, I went deep into spirituality. I got certain answers about waking up early in the morning.

One hour and thirty-six minutes before sunrise is a period known as Brahmamuhurtha.

Brahmamuhurtha is the creator's time. It is the time to perceive ultimate knowledge. We are always busy doing numerous tasks every day that we have no time for ourselves. Brahmamuhurtha is the best time we can give to ourselves. It is the time when we are fresh without any worldly tension. Using this creator's time, we can mould ourselves the way we want to become. Ancient rishis and yogis used this time effectively to become one with the creator.

Own your morning. Elevate your life.” ― Robin Sharma

Waking up in Brahmamuhurtha helps increase concentration which assists students in their studies. It also increases work efficiency. According to ancient Indian texts, it is the best time to meditate and do yoga and exercise. We can expand our sattvic essence by using this time effectively. According to Ayurveda, waking up in Brahmamuhurtha helps avoid diseases and increases the lifespan. During Brahmamuhurtha, nascent oxygen present in the atmosphere helps in boosting our immune system.

Things to do during Brahmamuhurtha.

  1. It is the best time to do chanting and meditation. You can enter into deep meditation during this time without any effort.
  2. Yoga and exercise done during Brahmamuhurtha helps in keeping the body fresh internally as well as externally.
  3. It is the best time to plan your day due to the freshness and awareness it offers.
  4. Listening to cheerful music during this time helps in reducing stress. It is the best way to bring positivity around oneself.

If you learn to use the Brahmamuhurtha period, you will see positive changes in your life. You can share your experience on Brahmamuhurtha in the comment box gievn below.
