Book Review

by Arpit

Book:You are the best wife
Author:Ajay K Pandey
Publisher:Srishti

When you read a real-life story, you enter into a different world filled with drama, emotion, sacrifice, courage and learning. It is a true story of two people, Ajay, a Brahmin boy(Author), and Bhavna, a Kayastha girl. They both fall in love with each other while pursuing engineering in the same college. After a lot of struggle to convince their parents for the intercaste marriage, both live a happy life full of zest and dreams.

“life is a journey. Every person who is born will die someday. Some celebrate a silver jubilee, some golden and some score a century, but life is not evaluated on the basis of number of the years spent on this earth,” ― Ajay K. Pandey, You are the Best Wife

The author did excellent work in describing each scene with full emotions to keep the reader involved throughout the whole journey represented in the book. When you read a real-life story, you expect certain scenes to appear in front of your eyes like a live performance of any TV show. While reading, I did experience it, which is another transcendent thing. Language is straight forward with not much-complicated use of vocabulary.

If you want a happy ending, there is a point mentioned beyond which you are supposed to leave the book. If you want to know the reality of life, read the whole book. It is more than a love story, and in the end, your eyes will be full of tears.

“There are two kinds of personalities. There are those who have everything and still complain as if they have nothing. And there are those who lose everything and act like life has given them everything.” ― Ajay K. Pandey, You are the Best Wife

The character which I loved the most is Bhavna. She lived every moment of her life with a positive attitude. I personally learned numerous things from Bhavna. Many times we feel wretched due to wide variety of problems around us. We forget to enjoy our journey and start focussing on the end results. This story will change your attitude towards your life. You will learn that life cannot be taken for granted.

“Silence is not the absence of something, but the presence of everything.” ― Ajay K. Pandey, You are the Best Friend

Despite of the tragic end, you all will surely love this book. I will recommend this book to those who love to read real life stories plus those who love to read heart touching stories.
