Book Review
Book: | The Magic of Thinking Big |
Author: | David J. Schwartz |
Publisher: | Pocket Books |
There are lots of books that can enhance our thinking capability. The Magic of Thinking big is one of them. We face different challenges every day. There are a lot of real-life examples of several people who overcame various obstacle to conquer their dream. It is a self-help book written in 1959 that can enhance our thought process. It can also change our perspective towards life.
The first step required to conquer anything is the power of belief. The best thing about it is that it requires no extraordinary skills and talent. Great things happened in the past only because of faith. There are, in fact, many people with skills and talent living a life with no purpose and meaning. Creating a mindset with a positive attitude can bring a tremendous change in our life.
We always try to give excuses where ever we can. The author describes various ways to tackle it(the habit of making excuses). With the help of real-life examples, the author explains how we can think big and turn defeat into victory. Overall this book is like a package that can help stimulate our mind to do extraordinary things.
The best thing about the book is the presence of real-life examples of several people with varied professions. There are some exercises mentioned for readers in almost every chapter. The involvement of various case studies is quite interesting.
I have seen many books quite similar to this one. Yet, it is a must-read book if you want to bring a positive change in yourself. If you haven't read any self-help book, starting with this one can be a great choice.
